Extracting a page usually means you want to share part of a document and keep the rest private. Here the whole document stays on your device while you pick the part to send.

- Pages keep their order from the original. To reorder them, use Organize Pages afterwards.
- Links to pages you didn’t extract stop working in the new file.
- Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first.

What happens to your file
The pages you pick are copied into a new PDF in the order you picked them. Nothing on them is re-rendered or recompressed, and the original file is left as it was — you get a second, smaller file.

Questions
How do I save certain pages of a PDF as a new PDF?
Drop the PDF, click the pages you want and press Extract pages. You get a new PDF with only those pages.
Can I extract a range of pages?
Yes. Type it in Or type the pages to keep — for example 10-20 — or click the first page and shift-click the last.
How is this different from splitting?
Extracting gives you the pages you pick and leaves out the rest. Split PDF cuts the whole document into several files.
Does extracting reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
