Why it doesn’t upload
A deck that arrived as a PDF is usually someone’s unpublished work: pitch numbers, a strategy, a client proposal. Rebuilding it into slides on your own device means it never goes to a conversion service.

- Picture slides are exactly the pages, so nothing can be retyped — that is the trade for looking identical. The text can still be searched if you keep it in the speaker notes.
- Editable slides rebuild text boxes from where the text sits, so the layout is close but not to the pixel. Fonts become the theme font at the sizes measured in the PDF.
- Animations, transitions and links aren’t created: a PDF has none to carry over.
- A scanned PDF converts fine as pictures; there is no text in it for the editable mode or the notes.

What happens to your file
Each page becomes a slide. The page is rendered by pdf.js as the slide’s picture, and its text is laid over it in editable text boxes at the same positions, so a slide looks like the page and its words can still be changed. The presentation is written with PptxGenJS.

How do I convert a PDF into PowerPoint slides for free?
Drop the PDF and press Convert to PowerPoint. Each page becomes one slide, at the same shape and size as the page, with no watermark.
Can I edit the text after converting?
Choose Editable text boxes. Each paragraph becomes a text box you can click and retype. For a deck that must look identical to the PDF, use the picture mode instead.
Will the slides be 16:9?
They match the PDF. A landscape deck exported to PDF comes back 16:9; an A4 report comes back A4-shaped so nothing is cropped or stretched.
Is the text still searchable on picture slides?
Yes, if you leave the speaker notes option on: each slide’s notes hold that page’s text, so searching the deck finds it.
How do I go the other way?
Use PowerPoint to PDF, which turns each slide back into a page.
