How accurate is converting a PDF to Word or Excel?
A PDF records where each letter sits on the page, not which letters make a paragraph or a table cell. Converting back means reconstructing that structure: lines become paragraphs, aligned columns become table cells, bigger bold text becomes headings. On a PDF exported from Word or Excel, that works well. On a scan, there is no text at all until OCR reads it.
Going the other way — Word, Excel or PowerPoint to PDF — lays your document out with embedded fonts, so it looks the same on every screen and printer.

Questions
Does PDF to Word work on scanned PDFs?
Only once the scan has a text layer. A scanned page is a photo; converting it to Word gives you the photo in a Word file. Run it through OCR first, then convert.
Is there a watermark on the converted file?
No, on any conversion, ever.
Can I get a bank statement into Excel?
Yes. PDF to Excel finds the table on each page and puts every row and column into cells, so you can sort and sum.
What about old .doc and .xls files?
Open them in Word, Excel or LibreOffice and save as .docx or .xlsx first; the converters read the modern formats.
