Making a PDF when you don’t have one yet
Most PDF tools assume you already have the PDF. These are for the step before: a letter on paper, a form you filled in by hand, a document you haven’t written yet. Scanning turns paper into pages — found in the photo, straightened, and cleaned up so the paper reads as white — without a scanning app or a flatbed.
Writing one from scratch is the other route. The editor handles headings, lists, links, tables and pictures, and saves a proper PDF with selectable text and bookmarks, not a picture of a page. Typed text can also come out as handwriting, on ruled, plain, grid or legal-pad paper.
Once there is a pile of PDFs, the workflow does the repetitive part: rotate, number, watermark, flatten, compress, clear metadata and lock every file, in an order that can’t go wrong, in one pass.

Do I need to install an app to scan?

Can I write a PDF without Word?

Is anything I scan or write uploaded?
No. The camera feed, your photos and everything you type stay in this browser tab. The PDFs are built there too.
