Why not just use Print to PDF?
Print to PDF is fine for a quick copy, but it prints what the browser shows — cookie banners, sidebars and all — and breaks pages wherever the paper runs out. These converters lay the content out for paper: margins, page breaks that avoid splitting a line or a code block, and headings that become PDF bookmarks.
Markdown is rendered the way GitHub renders it, with tables, task lists and syntax-highlighted code.
Questions
Can I convert a live web page by its URL?
Not from here — fetching other sites would mean contacting them, and this site never does. Save the page (Ctrl+S or ⌘S, “Web Page, HTML Only”), then drop the .html file into HTML to PDF.
Does Markdown to PDF support code highlighting?
Yes, for about 35 common languages, plus tables and task lists. Markdown to PDF also takes answers copied from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, whose Copy buttons give Markdown.
