Why it doesn’t upload
Bundles of PDFs are often a whole application or case file. Zipping them here keeps the full set on your device.

- PDFs are already compressed, so zipping them usually saves only a little space. To make the PDFs themselves smaller, compress them first.
- Files with the same name get a number added so none is overwritten.
- The ZIP has no password. To lock the documents themselves, encrypt the PDFs before zipping them.

What happens to your file
The files are packed into a ZIP archive in memory with fflate. PDFs and images are already compressed, so they are stored rather than squeezed again — which is faster and makes the same size of archive. Nothing inside any file is changed.

How do I put multiple PDFs into one ZIP file?

Does zipping a PDF make it smaller?
Only slightly — PDFs are compressed inside already. For a real reduction, compress the PDFs.
How do I zip a PDF on Windows or a Mac?
On Windows 11, right-click the file and choose Compress to ZIP file (on Windows 10, Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder). On a Mac, Control-click it and choose Compress. This page does the same in any browser, and can number the files so their order survives.
How do I zip a PDF on an iPhone or Android phone?
Open this page in Safari or Chrome, choose the PDFs and press Make ZIP; the archive is saved to Files or Downloads. On an iPhone, the Files app can also do it: press and hold the PDF and choose Compress.
Can I upload a ZIP to a portal that asks for one file?
If the portal accepts ZIP files, yes. Many don’t; if it wants a single PDF, merge them into one instead.
