    Drop a .docx file, or several.

  2. Check the settings

    Keep the page size as in the document, or switch to A4 or US Letter. Headings become bookmarks unless you turn that off.

  3. Save the result

    Press Make PDF. Text stays real text: you can search it, copy it and click its links.

Why it doesn’t upload

The Word files people turn into PDFs are the finished ones: contracts, CVs, offer letters, reports with the final numbers. Converting in your browser means the only copy is the one on your device.

Worth knowing

  • Headers, footers, comments and tracked changes aren’t carried over yet; the body of the document is.
  • Text is set in Noto Sans, Noto Serif or Noto Sans Mono, matched to each font’s style. Line and page breaks can fall slightly differently from Word’s.
  • Charts, SmartArt, text boxes and equations aren’t drawn yet. Pictures, tables and lists are.
  • Old .doc files (Word 97–2003) need saving as .docx first: Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs can all do it.

What happens to your file

The DOCX is read as Word describes it — styles, fonts, colors, spacing, lists, tables and pictures — and laid out by your browser in a sandboxed frame. Every word is then measured and drawn into the PDF as real text in an embedded Noto font, with pages broken where Word would break them.
